How to Create a Gmail and Facebook Account the Right Way (with Security Settings)

Open Play Store and tap Sign in > Create account > For my personal use. Enter your own name and gender, choose a username, set a strong password and finish the remaining steps.

Install the Facebook app, tap Create new account and sign up with your Gmail. Enter your own real name, choose your gender and confirm your email address (or use a phone number). Facebook allows one personal profile per person.

Turn off any VPN and try again. In the lesson, signup moved forward once the VPN was off.

Choose 'Not now'. If you sync, people saved in your phone get your new ID as a friend suggestion. Adding a phone number is optional.

That is normal for a new profile. Tap 'Notify me' to join the waitlist; it will show up when it becomes available.

Settings > Accounts Center > Password and security > Two-factor authentication > choose your account > Authentication app. Copy the key, add it in Google Authenticator with 'Enter a setup key' (Time based), then type the 6-digit code back in Facebook.

Install Google Authenticator from Play Store, tap Get started and continue with your Gmail. Choose 'Enter a setup key', name it Facebook, paste the key from Facebook, keep Time based and add it.

Never delete Google Authenticator. Because it is linked to your Gmail, signing in to Google Authenticator with the same Gmail brings your codes back.
