Facebook or TikTok — which is right for you?

Both platforms can pay creators, but the rules are very different. This page puts the facts side by side so you can pick one and start.

Short answer: if you live in Pakistan, start with Facebook — it pays Pakistani Pages directly. TikTok's Creator Rewards Program is only open in some countries; check the official eligibility list before you plan around it.

Choose Facebook if…

  • You live in Pakistan and want a program that pays you directly.
  • You want to earn from more than videos — Reels, photos, text posts and Stories all count.
  • You want payouts to a Pakistani bank account in your own name.

Choose TikTok if…

  • You live in a country that is on TikTok's official Creator Rewards eligibility list.
  • You can make original videos longer than 60 seconds, every day.
  • You want to grow an audience for LIVE gifts or brand deals.

On both platforms

  • Your content must be original. AI video you made yourself counts; reposts and templates do not.
  • Where your viewers live decides how much you earn — not only where you live.
  • Pick one niche and post daily. Switching niches resets your reach.
  • Start with one platform. Add the second later.

Questions

Which pays creators in Pakistan directly — Facebook or TikTok?

Facebook. Facebook Content Monetization is available in Pakistan and pays to a Pakistani bank account in your own name. TikTok's Creator Rewards Program is only open in some countries, and Pakistan is not on the list right now.

What are the follower and view requirements?

Facebook: 10,000 followers and 150,000 views in the last 30 days on a Page. TikTok Creator Rewards: 10,000 followers and 100,000 views in the last 30 days, with original videos longer than 60 seconds.

Does AI-generated content count as original?

On both platforms, yes — if you made it yourself and it follows the platform's rules. Reposts, copied clips and template videos do not count.

Should I start both platforms at the same time?

No. Start with one platform and learn it properly. You can add the second one later.

How do I know if my country is eligible for TikTok Creator Rewards?

Check the official eligibility list. Open TikTok Studio on your account: if the Creator Rewards Program option is not shown, your region is not eligible right now. Our TikTok countries page lists the current countries.
